Generations
Generations is the ministry of EHCC which reaches out to people who need the attention of loving and giving people to make their days easier, and their nights brighter.
Generations provides caring for those who cared for us. They are our mothers and our fathers, our neighbors and relatives; they are the people of the generation that came before us. They are people who need the gentle hand and support we can provide. Now, we have the opportunity and responsibility to love and care for them.
Our Current Generations Ministries
Cherry Creek Nursing Center
We are partnering with the Cherry Creek Nursing Center to provide worship services several Sunday afternoons a month for the patients in their Alzheimer's Unit. Pastor Al Feria is leading this ministry. The group meets at 1:45 then goes into the unit for the service from 2:00 to 2:30pm. What is Alzheimer's? This Alzheimer's introduction might help. Families and children are welcomed.

Pinewood Lodge
We are beginning a partnership with Christian Living Communities (CLC) in their community outreach to Pinewood Lodge. Pinewood Lodge is a low income, independent living community of 102 apartments that currently has no social, spiritual, or general assistance programs.
Because the residents are on fixed incomes, many run out of food by the end of the month. EHCC is now continuing the work CLC began and is working with CLC to provide a food pantry once a month for the residents. We are supplementing the food supply and providing volunteers to work at the food pantry. We currently have a bin outside the church office where we are collecting food items. All donations of non-perishable food or household goods are welcome. Here are some items that are always needed:
- Canned chicken and tuna (canned meats of any kind - corned beef hash, ravioli, etc. go quickly)
- toilet paper
- paper towels
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables
- bottled water
- pasta
- pasta sauce
- cereal
