Eastern Hills Community Church has challenged its congregation to go farther in its walk with Jesus by going out and making a difference in its community. Knowing that God has called us to serve others, Eastern Hills has teamed up with several local, national, and international organizations to help its congregation in fulfilling that call.

Mountain of Mercy
We are now building the 3rd Annual Mountain of Mercy. Our goal is for everyone to bring one item of food per person each week between now and Saturday, November 19th. We will stack the non-perishable food items on the stage and come together on at 9am on November 19th to sort, box, and distribute food to the overlooked and ignored in our community. Men's Ministry will be serving breakfast at 8am so sign up at the Connections kiosk or contact Mark DeNooy at mdenooy@ehills.org if you plan to come early for breakfast. Here is a list of the needed food items:
flour, sugar, canned beans, boxed cereals, canned tomatoes, peanut butter, rice, canned chicken and tuna, jelly, dried pasta, spaghetti sauce, instant potatoes, canned soups, boxes of mac and cheese, canned corn, and Chef Boyardee canned products.
Volunteers are needed for this event. If interested, contact Kristy McGovern at kmcgovern@ehills.org or 303-699-1470 x140.
This year we will also collect Bibles for the persecuted church at the same time. If you have a Bible you no longer use, or you wish to purchase a new Bible, please bring it to share with those who have none. The translation is not important and neither is the condition of the Bible. This year we seek to feed the body and the soul!
